2003

Denzil received the Illinois State Police Departments Special Award. This award was given in regards to a large scale methamphetamine investigation. As part of this investigation Robert Leek received a life sentence for his role in the conspiracy. Mr. Leek was responsible for importing hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine into the Wabash valley

In February of 2003 I received the Drug Enforcement Administrations certificate of appreciation for my role in a Mobil Enforcement Teams deployment to the Terre Haute Area. This operation led to the arrest of more than 28 defendants, including six federal indictments. One of the key defendants in the operation was tried and convicted for conspiracy to distribute over five kilos of crack cocaine. He was sentenced to over 33 years in federal prison.

2004

On September 15th 2004 I was awarded the United States Attorney’s award for my role in a wire-tap investigation. This investigation led to the arrest and conviction of over 18 individuals affiliated with or members of the Diablo (1%er) motorcycle club. This investigation shut down a 17 million dollar a year methamphetamine operation. Two of the defendants in this case received life sentences for their roles in the operation.

On September 16th 2004 I was honored by the International Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Investigators Association in Buffalo, New York. I received the Robert Faulkner memorial award for outstanding investigation in the United States. I received this award for the accomplishments relating to the Diablo Motorcycle club investigation as listed above.

2005

On October 12th 2005 I was awarded the United States Attorneys award for my participation in a joint state and federal investigation that shut down the largest crack cocaine trafficking organization in the Terre Haute area. This organization had been responsible for the importation of multiple kilos of cocaine for approximately 10 years into Terre Haute. The leader of the organization received over 395 months in prison, while the rest of the defendants sentences range from 120 months to 262 months.
